Marya Angelique Catherine Journeaux entered this world as a preemie in 2005 and left it much too early on October 18, 2024. She was only 19 and had so much life to live. There was so much she wanted to do, so many places she wanted to go, so many things she wanted to see. She was beautiful, smart, funny, extremely creative & talented, loved all animals (even the 8-legged kind), and had such a free spirit and joy for life. Her soul was nothing but pure light and love. She enjoyed thrift shopping, art, tattoos, and spending time with family. Nobody could put together an outfit like she could. Her style was simply unmatched. She could walk up to a field and have 10 four-leafed clovers in her hands in less than 30 seconds. Her puzzle skills were amazing. She was her daddy’s shopping buddy and her mommy’s dream come true. She was our hunny bunny and petite princess. She loved her family fiercely. Her cat Dexter was her baby and spoiled rotten. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was kind to everyone she ever met, going out of her way to help people. She’d stop complete strangers to compliment them on their outfits or hair styles. Stubbornly independent, she moved out to start life on her own in July. Unfortunately, she was simply too good for this harsh world and moved on to some place much more beautiful. She meant so much to so many people and this world will never have the same joy in it again.

The sun will never again be as bright; the laughter never as light. This world will never seem right. The brightest star of all left us in the night.

She has many loved ones who passed on before her and it gives us peace to know she will be looked after well until the time comes for us to all be reunited. That day seems forever away and we will miss you every moment until then. We cherish every memory, every hug, every moment we had with you, baby girl. There just weren't nearly enough.

“Look for me in the bugs, I promise I'll be there. Especially the roly-poly’s.” ~Marya
